Customers consistently praise the quality and freshness of the food. Lesa Borowske fondly recalls how the “sweet older lady took our order and made our food fresh,” highlighting the personal touch that sets this spot apart. Bri Hoff shared her delight, saying, “I haven’t had pizza this good in a long time! Lovely service and calming atmosphere,” perfectly capturing the warm, unpretentious charm that invites guests to relax and enjoy. Stella Smith also appreciated the incredible value, noting that a giant slice for just $3 is quite the steal, alongside delightfully fresh half-dollar cookies.
That said, while the food shines, a few practical notes emerge from customer experiences. Some patrons mention the quiet, intimate vibe that might benefit from a touch of background music to enhance the ambiance. Gena Byrd pointed out the lack of on-site public restrooms, though the nearby convenience store offers a useful alternative. Additionally, Chris Swain candidly shared that while the menu delivers on flavor, customer service can occasionally feel brusque, though this hasn’t diminished his appreciation for staples like the cheese bread and cinnamon squares.
Overall, A J's Heavenly Pizza is an inviting, neighborhood gem on Route 66 that combines crave-worthy specialty pizzas with friendly, down-to-earth hospitality. Whether you’re traveling through or a local in search of a reliably delicious pizza spot, the place serves up generous portions packed with fresh, vibrant flavors that make every bite heavenly.
Sweet older lady took our order and made our food fresh.. small place very quiet. Could use a little music . Food was delicious
I haven't had pizza this good in a long time! I'm so glad we stopped here instead of Tulsa. Lovely service and calming atmosphere.
Great quick stop, pretty cheap. 3$ for a GIANT slice and the 50 cent cookies were so good. clean inside and worker who was with us was very kind but looked like they needed a new way of taking orders haha.
Great pizza, subs, cheese bread, and cinnamon squares. Unfortunately the guy that works there can be rather rude. And the most recent time I got cheese bread from there they gave me this Frankenstein looking cheese bread.
The Cali chicken alfredo pizza was delicious, and my kids loved it. It seems to be a great place for takeout, but maybe not the best place for a pit stop for dinner. We were traveling and found it on Google Maps. We wanted to wash our hands before eating, but they don't have a public facility. This can be remedied by using the one at the nearby convenience store (although I prefer not to use a place's restrooms if I'm not giving them my business otherwise). Other than that, I would give it 5 stars for the pizza.
Amazing little pizza spot! The crust had a perfect crunch, the cheese pull was great and the antipasto salad with red wine vinaigrette was on point. Highly recommended we will be back!
